Patience is a god-like quality. I do not believe it is something humans inherently possess, it must be developed. Patience and confidence are almost synonymous. You cannot patiently wait for something unless you are confident that at some point your waiting will be worth it.
Cowards rush things. Cowards don't wait. They grab whatever they can take from life whenever the opportunity presents itself. They have no confidence that what they experience now will be even better if they hold out longer.
Patience also requires hope. If you have no hope, waiting turns into dread. You must wait quietly, choosing to listen to that small, still voice inside whispering: Don't give up. Don't give in. It will be better tomorrow.
